About Bill

You know Bill Dodd as your Napa County Supervisor, however, he is also a son, a brother, a husband and a parent, all roles he is equally proud of.

Bill grew up in Napa and through the years created many memories here. He and his brothers stayed busy working at his parents' distribution center sweeping the floors, and doing other chores on the weekends. Seeing how his parents ran the family business cultivated his interest in the field so when he attended Chico State as an undergrad, he focused his interests in business. There he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management which prepared him to work with his father and ultimately buy the family business.

Bill worked in every phase of the business and served as General Manager and President for over twenty years. During his time in the water industry, he followed in his father's footsteps serving the Water Quality Improvement Industry as President of the national and state water associations. He and his father both received the Hall of Fame Award from the Pacific Water Quality Association and the National Water Quality Association.

One of the proudest moments of his life was when he became a father. Now, everything he does is to make sure his children have the same positive experience growing up in Napa he had. He feels it is important to instill in his children the importance of being an active citizen and giving back to the community. He has always tried to stay active by volunteering.
